yesterday alot of police cars and the forensic van drove up sierra verde road in cotton valley.
does anyone know what happened.? seems every police cars around.

i saw 1 police car going down sierra verde road yesterday around 10:30 am. it was after what sounded like a very loud house alarm going off.about 30.min later the house alarm went off again. maybe someone else has more information

At least two houses were broken into. The e-mail that my friend who lives in Catherine's Hope received was:
Neighbors,
Burglars broke into at least two houses in Catherine's Hope this morning. In two neighboring houses, the burglars broke in through louvered windows.
The first house had some items taken. At the second house, the burglars set off the burglar alarm and left without taking anything. It is possible other houses in the neighborhood were broken into. If you or someone you know is away from home, it may be a good idea to have someone check the house for signs of a break-in.

They butt up right next to each other. My son has a friend on Sierra Verde Road and one on the road just to the West of it; houses are within walking distance of each other, and one is in Cotton Valley and the other in Catherine's Hope. Are you maybe thinking of Catherine's Rest?

yikes.......guess we will have to start making sure things are locked. (sierra verde)
sometimes there is a rash of break-ins in the area when people are having work done.
we have dogs so hopefully that will deter.

Currently there are at least five houses under construction in the area. I've always suspected workers on a site that affords a view of the comings and goings of homeowners - and whether a house is occupied - to be prime suspects. Spend enough time at the same place, day after day, and it's very easy to identify who lives where and the patterns of their daily routine. People who drive easy to identify vehicles - be it a unique ride, unusual color, or displaying stickers or a vanity license plate - are easy to pick out. Especially on the back roads.

saw flashing lights last night down on cotton valley shores. i think it was an ambulance. did anyone else see it?
