Well, Target now has totally struck out for me. When I checked on my last two orders, I discovered they somehow invented a zip code that I did not give them, for the physical address I've used with no problems for over 10 years now. The original order email shows I entered the correct information, but in their order system the zip code is different.
Everything I ordered got sent back, and they won't refund my money directly because I paid with PayPal -- they have to give me a Target gift card. Beyond frustrating! Worst of all, now I have to blow a day on STT to get all the stuff I thought I was getting from them last week.
Now that I'm in FL, I can order whatever I want online and it either gets delivered to my door or mailbox in my yard.
I rarely ordered anything online, previously because of getting to the end of the order and discovering most places either won't or discontinued shipping to VI.
Or waiting in long lines at PO.
Especially true when I got back in January to deal with repairs and getting house back in order to rent.
Places that used to ship here no longer did.
Maybe our delegate, Stacey Plaskett, should up her game.

I haven't noticed any change with any of the vendors I deal with regarding their VI shipping policies. As far as the post office is concerned, I get direct delivery!
You are lucky then. Petco stopped shipping here which is a tragedy.

The former delegate tried to get Wal-Mart to continue free shipping to VI, but took criticism from local businesses.
The delegate is our liaison with federal government - not private businesses.
There are so many options for buying online but it takes patience if you want to go that route. Best to check bottom line prices from multiple sites.
Forget free shipping.
How about just shipping?
Jeeze, you'd think we were on another planet!

If there was money to be made, everyone would be shipping here.
Target ships to Guam because of work done by Guam's AG. After this is when Target started shipping to the VI, too.
I just ordered a dress from JC Penney. I checked Amazon, Stein Mart, and ebay before I found what I probably can wear on JCP. I had to pay shipping but what good is free shipping if they don't have what you want?
I think I'll add more stuff to my order to offset shipping!

But...every company ships to VI Cargo or Paradise Freight.
Yeah but some places can do it.
Vitacost ships for a flat $9.99 and if you order when they have a 12% or 20% promotion that wipes out the shipping costs and the prices are all lower than here.
So if they can do it, why can't others?

But...that adds to the time and the cost

When I want what I want, time and money are usually not a concern.
I'm at Paradise Freight every week...its my favorite store!
and they always have coupons

Well, they wouldn't let me add to my order but that's ok. Let me see what bedspread and quilts they have...

"The Last Place on Earth Where Everyone Still Loves Kmart,” I thought that was STX.
"the Wall Street Journal made an inquiry with Target as to why it did not ship to Guam when it shipped to Mongolia and Kiribati. As a result of the Wall Street Journal's inquiry, Target has opened its online shipping to Guam, the local attorney general reported."
I usually buy clothes and footwear.
just ordered from target, had to ship it to work.
I order from Target last week (8/26) and they gave an ETA of 9/6 for 9 items. Last Tuesday, they cancelled one item due to "address issue" and another today with really no reason. Down to 7 items so we'll see how this week goes...lol. Looks like I'll go with vicargo next time!
So what I've found from Target shipping is:
1. Furniture usually gets cancelled shortly after ordering
2. Soft goods like towels, sheets, small rugs are OK and the ship date they provide is accurate
3. Small appliances (coffee maker, toaster oven) are OK and hit ship date
4. When something shows as "backordered" in your order, it usually ends up getting cancelled so better off cancelling yourself and looking for similar item
5. Orders over $35 ship free
Anyone have any other sites that ship to STX and are somewhat dependable? I've had a tough time with Amazon.
Jc penney
I'll add number 6.
6. Food items don't seem to be available to deliver to the VI. I have tried to order coffee, chocolate bars and protein bars and none will ship here. Don't know about other food items.

I've ordered Starbucks (and other items) from Amazon to STX with no issues. I've even ordered cereal as a cheap add-on item with no issues. The delivery time may be a little longer than they initially estimate. I can see anything chocolate not shipping, it's likely to melt.
back when walmart had their free shipping, i ordered food all the time.now that there is no free shipping i dont order food from them
