I moving to St.croix soon. I think moving my Explorer is going to be a pain. I was wondering how much a old beater car will run? Also is it a good idea to bring my bike or will I just get ran over. Thanks for the time. Jason

Jsin,

Old cars in the USVI sell for a whole lot more then they do in the states. And old car say 10-12 years old might run $2000-3500... sounds like a lot but it happens. Old cars sell for a bit here.

You can find really "island cars" for 1500 or thereabouts - they might be a big headache though and you might wish you had brought your own car.

We're bringing our two (a 1980 Triumph TR7 and a 1995 Plymouth Voyager). They are both in good shape and we plan on driving them for a couple of years and then selling them on STX.

Go to "search" at top of page and enter 'ship car" or something similar. You will get more answers than you will ever need.
