Ok we all know there closing down Western Auto, as most decent stores on this island, so my question is; where is a good place to get auto parts (not hubcaps and air fresheners.......actual parts)? Local that is. If I have to order another item on the net and pay for shipping, i'm going to loose it. Thanks ahead for the response.......

Is this closure exclusive to STX or is it on STT as well?

I have heard recently the Wester Auto building (Western Auto store, old movie theatre, board of elections will be housing a Home Depot sometime after the first of the year. Of course I also heard the same thing about the old Cost U Less when DPW was doing all that workat the streetlight.

Not sure if there closing the STT store but the STX is going. Home Depot? Well, I can build a house but can't fix my car. I guess it's just one of those ironies of life.

Hello Onika,
I had heard something about Western Autos in the VI closing several months ago, however I didn't hear much else about it as time passed so had forgotten about it. Anyway, I asked a sales person in Western Auto St.Thomas today and they said they didn't know anything about it (as far as the STT store closing)??

Here is a link to an article in the Daily News a while back. Only the store on StX is closing. Where else can we go to get auto parts? The store will be missed. And it was always busy. They could not have been losing money at this location. But it was a corporate decision.
