Hello, everyone! We're finally here in STX staying in C'sted. We are staying at a hotel called Comanche--it is a lil' rundown, but the owner offers a great weekly rate $185.oo. Compared to Kronegade's weekly rate of $400.00 the rundownness of The Comanche becomes charming. 😉 It is VERY centrally located on the boardwalk with a pool and within walking distance to everything in Csted-- including this internet cafe.
Anyhoo, if anyone knows of long term rentals on the North Shore between Salt River and Carambola beach, please let me know.
We love it here already!

I will have one long-term rental coming up in the LaVallee area very soon. It is for a very large property of some reknown.... the Great House at Rust Op Twist. There are some necessary refurbishments currently underway and I have been asked to locate a long-term tenant to lease it once those renovations are complete. The monthly lease rate will be around $2000-2500.
We expect this property to be available in late September or in October.
There are 3 ENORMOUS bedrooms and 2 baths plus a library in the bedroom wing. There is also a great room across a breezeway/courtyard that houses a large kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, and also has a long, screened-in gallery. The property has extensive grounds and ruins to make it unique. Multiple cisterns ensure that you will never have to pay for water. There is no shortage of parking and the ocean is just a moment's walk across the north shore road to reach. You can snorkel and scuba dive right from the beach.
If the property is larger or more expensive than you seek... you may even consider applying with roommates to make it work for all.
