Well, it isnt as busy as STT, but it isnt as laid back as STJ it would seem.
Honestly I have a few weeks once I get there to choose one, but I felt from what Ive heard the STX would be the better choice for me.
oh, and Meg..its currently snowing here 😀

wow haha you have a lot more snow than we did...nic pictures...are those your horses in them? I have a quarter horse and an appaloosa...they are the cutest when they play in the snow.

yup, they are my families horses, they ar paso finos. the border collie thing is my dog, but he is going to stay behind to play with horses 😛

my grandfather used to breed paso finos in Puerto Rico...have you found a place to ride in the VI or is that not a priority for you? I checked into a few places but they are more touristy rather than like weekly lessons. Anyone know of any places, particulary STT?

Josh, I booked my flight this evening as well......Looks like am leaving on the 17th, Ill have to check my intinerary to see what my arrival time is. Have you found a place to stay yet?
Meg, do you know when you are coming down for sure? Im trying to get a bunch of us 20-somethings to possible rent a house together.

well i havent accepted the job yet, and i have two semesters left at school...so probably not til next spring! i will be down sometime this year though to visit...so maybe i can stop by and see this house full of twenty-somethings...it sounds like a blast. sorry i cant be a roomate yet though. even sorrier for me that it is so freaking cold in pittsburgh ;p

Well, I would love to ride Meg, but i just dont have the time. Once things slow down I plan on spedning more time in the saddle though.

dysfunction thy name is Josh...
since I found a decent place to stay for a couple weeks I think I will try out STT and use the ferry to check out STX.
The ferry from STX is only $35.

Meg I am sure it is cold in Pittsburgh, but try a Maine winter and you would see why I am in a rush to get to a warmer climate!

i was just checking out other info and came across that you are form bangor - i have been there a few times - first time thru i stayed there after a 3 day phish concert in limestone it was awesome- keep in touch with the house thing- when are you going down?

I just had to respond - don't mean anything by this - but I was watching "City Confidential" the other night and Bangor (which I had never heard of before) was the topic regarding that horrible murder in your town. I'm so sorry it happened in your town but it was a very interesting story line.

I am like so jealous too. Still in Alaska and of course it HAD to snow like 8 inches. Make sure to tell us all about it. We will certainly keep you in our prayers. And of course everything will all work out. Always be proud of yourself to just jump in and do stuff. That alone takes a lot of course. Email if you would like to share how things are going. Chipper
