Weekend BVI trip recommendations?
Planning on hopping over to BVI for a weekend- anyone have any recommendations? No bomba parties at this time. Already seen the baths/done boat stuff. Looking for something different, never been to anegada for what it's worth.
Any jewels/recommendations?
Thanks!!
We love North Sound. Not sure if you are on your own boat (stay on a mooring at Saba Rock or get a slip) or taking a ferry (easy peasy from Red Hook). If you stay at Saba Rock, their ferry will take you to Prickly Pear, Leverick Bay, Bitter End. Lots of stuff to do. Oh, man, I want to get back!
Anegada is another thing all together. Neptune's Treasure for accomodations and beach hop- Cow Wreck, Flash of Beauty, Loblolly Bay...(tu)
Don't they have carnival/festival events this month and next month? I have the schedule somewhere.
It all depends on what you want to do. Several hiking trails on Tortola and Virgin Gorda. I planned a trip for our hiking association that didn't materialize because of cost. Didn't include any boat trips, though.
I really like Cooper island. However, it looks like they are closing down until October at the end of August.

Tortola has Carnival in usually in August.

This yr. is seems to be in progress with it officially starting July 25th to Aug. 10th according to first link.
Jost Van Dyke is very nice to chill as is Anagada (great diving) but getting back and forth to Anagada is more problematic than to Jost.
I have enjoyed Biras Creek in the past in Virgin Gorda/Gorda Sound as well as Bitter End (best pumpkin soup!). Actually all the food at both places were excellent.
Have fun where ever you decide just check ferry and plane schedules.
Dive or snorkel the Indians. Some of the best bunches of wildlife I've seen in the Caribbean. Beautiful water vis. Average 80ft. Last time I Dove there I saw a massive school of xreole wrasses, one of my absolute favorite fish. I've got some pics of Norman Island, the caves and the Indians on my website. www.adrianpoe.com
