WAPA Solar Projects ???
Three contracts were signed by WAPA in June 2012 for 18MW of PV at several sites on STT and STX. I have not seen or heard of any progress. The WAPA web site has them as on-going. Does anyone have info?

Apart from any unforeseen circumstances, construction of the solar projects is scheduled to begin during the first quarter of 2013 and be completed by the end of that year.
Bombi, that press release is from June 5, 2012 .... 9 months ago. But no news articles or WAPA updates since. Are there any signs of site construction or some news that I missed? I hope this is not held up due to WAPAs unrealistic LDs (liquidated damages) that killed the last wind project.
yeah the first quarter is closing fast, I haven't seen a thing, no construction, no workers, nothing, Hodge keeps talking about it though.
The funding for the construction in town almost runs out, so they quick open the bypass so they can get that done.
I'm willing to be this will happen at the last possible moment too.
These projects are 100% funded by the 3 outside companies .... so normally if there is no red tape or other road blocks they would be on it in some way. All WAPA needs to do is buy the power from them. Something must be up?
Projects might be on schedule based on this update to the new Senate?
does anyone use solar panels on St Thomas to power theri businesses? 😎
