Let's see .... in that first 30 days the grid failure was assessed, FEMA was contacted and agreement reached on status, equipment was ordered then shipped, other power companies were contacted and their linemen had to make arrangements to spend months away from home, transmission and substations were evaluated and repaired, the status of power generation was assessed, repaired and rebalanced etc.
All the while WAPA employees are dealing with their own personal hurricane issues ......
It's slightly possible to meet the deadline but no holding my breath. Remember for the first 30 days nothing was done.
Power is on at Villa Madeleine!!!
:@)
The WAPA reports certainly have not captured all of the details being accomplished. I don't know if the 48% number comes from actual number of customers with power or if it's a rough guess based on current generator load compared to historical demand or something else. In any case there are a lot of lights on in the hills of STX
Don't believe whatever WAPA reports. I forwarded a copy of a map provided to FEMA by WAPA showing lines that had been energized. There are some 50-75 homes erroneously reported as energized along Lowry Hill Road which is absolutely FASLE. I know because I live in the area that is still dark. I have reported this to the PSC and encourage others to do the same. It's way beyond time to privatize WAPA and drain the swamp.
"With more than 25,000 customers re-energized territory-wide, restoration and reconstruction efforts continued in both districts on Thursday.
On St. Croix, some customers in Clifton Hill, Estate Whim, William’s Delight, Campo Rico, White Bay and White Lady were restored. Fifty customers on Feeder 2A from The Buccaneer Hotel to Villa Madeline were also restored. "
Which means 43 customers at VM and 7 “others”. LOL.
But it sure sounds good.

So where did you get the map?
These guys in the upper echelon of this corrupt power company need to have their feet held to the fire.
W=Without A=any P=Power A=Again.
CD
Guess my hopes are dashed today, as they did not return and WAPA is just padding numbers by doing the condo's only. Should have know. I can still hope they stop back before Christmas.

WE GOT POWER TODAY!!!! Catherine's hope area... I'm so happy for my tenant, she's awesome and deserved this!
We got it back yesterday too!!!
I believe I counted correctly... 81 days without electricity. Not bad at all considering all the stories from older neighbors who were here for Hugo and went of 9 months without it.
I took a drive out North Shore to Pt Udall and down to the Divi today and it looks like all the poles are in place along the route with 3-phase power wires installed up top. Still a lot of communication cable hanging low or on the ground aside of the road or on it to clean up and a few remains of broken poles here and there.

99 days with out power for me; they are in every neighborhood around me, I'm sure I'll be one of the last however, we are a low population density neighborhood.
I watched one of the guest crews in action. THIS GUYS WERE ON FIRE. I thought they will take half day to replace that pole. There were done in 20 minutes. It was heartwarming.
