WAPA electric bills
Does WAPA charge a fixed monthly account/service fee in addition to usage or do they only charge for actual usage in the monthly bill? Or do they charge a minimum service fee if the monthly usage is below a certain amount? The WAPA web site lists some additional fees but this isn't clear.
They charge for it all.
Look at your bill.
I just scanned over the WAPA website. There is a $4.86 customer charge for a residential single phase customer which is 99% of residential customers. That appears to be charged every month no matter what plus the $0.391928 per KwH which is the usage charge. That base rate is divided into 4 separate charges that add up to the $0.391928.
I was renting a place with WAPA included up until this month and haven't received my first WAPA bill in my new house. This was just my understanding of their website. Hopefully someone can confirm. If not, I'll post again when I receive my first bill. 🙂

As of last electric bill date 5/18
Interestingly, they used to list the next meter read date but this one has it listed as 00/00/00.
Don't know why we have to pay for their line loss, amongst all the other surcharges.
They should just roll it all into one rate.
But then everyone would complain about the hidden charges!!!!
And Chucky Hansen wouldn't be able to campaign by saying she'd remove the LEAC portion of the bill.
So what is the average elec. bill for one bedroom apt.
Depends on how you live but probably $150 - 250 per month.
Is that just running at night?
Running what at night?
If you use an AC at all, be prepared for a much higher bill.
$150 -$200 is without using AC.
our last bill was about 140, we have a 3 bedroom-no air conditioner. you could do less if you tried
