Okay, my name is Crissy, I am a RN at the hospital. I have been on St. Croix since August and had to leave my animals behind since my condo unit does not allow pets, nor do I want them sitting home alone during my long shifts. I miss my sweet babies so much. I go to the beach and just hope somebody comes by with a dog, so I can play with them for just a few minutes. I am not a wierdo or anything like that just crazy about dogs. So, if anybody has a dog that loves the water and would like me to take them for a walk on the beach every now and then, I would love to do that. I am not looking to charge any money, I just want to enjoy playing with a puppy that maybe sits home all day and could use a good run. Because I work at the hospital, my schedule is very flexiable. I have several days off during the month and would love to take your puppy for a run. If anybody is interested, please PM me with a number and we could talk.

crissy i dont think you are weird. it sounds very nice what you are willing to do. you have a kind heart.
you should contact the animal shelter. or a vet clinic.
good luck and i am sure you miss you puppies.

I think that is very sweet to think to help somedog out like that. I am going to be on island for the winter and was thinking of volunteering with the animal shelter as well. Maybe I'll see you there!

Crissy, the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center is always looking for volunteers, and I know Gretchen would be glad to have you! They look for people to go there and play with / exercise the animals just like what you're looking for. Please call them at (340) 778-1650 when you get a chance. Thanks eveyone for telling me about the shelter. I have been over there several times now and love it. The dogs are just as sweet as pie. I would love to see these dogs being adoped, so they could be loved everyday. My wish this Christmas is that dog breeders stop for one year so these dogs could be adopted. I know crazy thought, but wouldn't it be wonderful. Thanks again.
