Go to the Elections Commission in Sunny Isle. It is in the same building as Kmart /Kenmore in the building opposite WAPA. Bring ID.

Do you want to get jury duty?
I made the mistake of acquiring a voters registration card.
The very few they arrest & convict, the ones that you & fellow jurors find GUILTY, the judge puts back on the street!
It happened to me!
And those VERY few of those that do go to jail, the Governor frees on the 11th hour of their last day as Governor!

Yes, I vote too, (though many of my choices are never elected).

Then you'd better not get a driver's license either, DUN, because they having been using those for a while now. Even though jury duty is an inconvenience and, in many cases, a financial burden, a good citizen would support their community by going. Be a part of the community, not a just by-stander. It makes a difference.

A few years back, here on STT, they needed jurors and I witnessed officials stopping people who were out and about running errands and requiring them to serve immediately!

Here's an article about that:

I've been a prosecutor but never a juror. I would look forward to the experience.

I have a Vi Licence as well.
The point is, the very bad job the police, the courts & the former governors have done for us has kept criminals on the street (how much you wanna bet the murderer @ Coki has a record & belongs in jail)?

Yes, it's a financial burden & an inconvenience*-)
But let me out this in way way you could understand..
Maybe, I (and the rest who agree) wouldn't have such a #$%&*(? problem w/ jury duty if the @#$%& Police would arrest these criminals(no matter who they are related to), the incompetent $%&*()*& judges(such as the former Judge Leon Kendall) wouldn't free & give lesser sentences to these criminals and our former $%&*(%$Governors wouldn't free killers, muggers, rapist in the 11th hour of their last terms!!!

In retrospect, I belive you miss the point Luggie.;)

I registered to vote this week. In all, it took me about 10 minutes. Everyone was professional and pleasant.

While in the office, I saw a video presentation being taped on the electronic voting system. Seems sophisticated.
