When I went to make a deposit at the Cotton Valley Mall (dumpsters) this morning there were a couple of officers from VIWMA that appeared to be questioning a person who was dumping tree trimmings on that corner lot . I'm not sure if that's a legit place to dump vegitation so I figured I'd mention it as an FYI.

thanks special K. thedumpster patrol guys use to pop once in awhile. i think they were trying to stop the dumpster divers from throwing the garbage all over the place. and of course illegal dumpings. What were they driving??

They were in a very clean white unmarked 4-door pick-up truck. One person was wearing a white dress shirt and slacks (supervisor?) and the other, a woman, was in VIWMA uniform. When I drove by this afternoon the backhoe was pushing back the piles of plant material dumped on the corner lot and someone was taking pictures of him working.

I don't think the dumpster divers are the problem. I've lived near CV for almost 20 years and they have never made a mess. I believe WMA is trying to crack down on the commercial use of the dumpsters and homeowners who leave heavy and/or marginally useful items on the ground. Commercial landscapers have been dumping their brush their since Omar and it's getting out of hand.

In 2006 my brother and I planted a nice row of seagrapes along the fence on the roadside. We watered them weekly and they were getting established when, about 2 months later, someone came by and stole them all. 🙁

I got a Doane print there last year, worth @ $2-300. Score. I just happened to stop by one afternoon because the empty beer bottles rolling around became annoying.

we found a generator there. ( we had one) but a guy was throwing this out. we took it and put in a new spark plug and runs like a brand new one.
Know some people who have found things there and sold on e-bay. one mans trash is another's treasure right???

great place to swap paper back books. just have to get there before it rans and pages seem to stick together.

If you are a book junkie go to Women's coiliyion Thrift shop in Peter's Rest or AnimalShelter Thrift Shop in Richmond. Undercover in Gallow's bay and the one above Divi Fabrics also have reatively new titles. Do you need directions?
