Headline: ST. CROIX DISTRICT PUBLIC SCHOOLS DISMISSED AT 1 PM DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER
St. Croix District Superintendent Gary Molloy announces that all district public schools will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. today as a result of severe weather conditions and flooding at various campuses.
Molloy said that bus transportation will be available for students utilizing the service and that parents are asked to make an extra effort to have their children picked up as well. All school-based personnel will be dismissed following an all-clear of students from campuses.

Headline: NON-ESSENTIAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES IN THE ST. CROIX DISTRICT ONLY TO BE DISMISSED AT 2 PM
Governor John P. De Jongh Jr. is announcing that non-essential government employees in the St. Croix district only will be dismissed at 2 p.m. today due to severe weather conditions.
Heavy bands of rain are causing flash flooding across the island of St. Croix, especially in areas where grounds are saturated. Motorists are asked to proceed with extreme caution.

A friend was driving in the Princesse area and came across deep gullies. Best to stay off the roads for a while.
