Does anyone know the requirements to visit USVI if you are a citizen of a country other than the U.S. I am a U.S. born citizen and my fiance is a citizen of Haiti. We are planning to get married in USVI and my parents, my fiance and I would like to visit to research locations and visit with a wedding planner. I am also a travel agent so this would give me the opportunity to visit and tell my clients about the Islands. Any information anyone can lend would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance for your prompt reply and a have a wonderful day.

If your fiance is a legal resident of the US and can prove it, he can travel to the USVI just like anyplace else in the US. If he is not a legal resident of the US he'll have trouble getting into or out of the USVI.

You should really check with immigration.

Hello Faith,

You should visit our other web site and message that is all about vacationing in the Virgin Islands... there is actually a recent post on that board from a bride with her comments about the USVI. At the top of this board click on Also Visit Travel Message Board on the right side.

Accepted documents for Proof of Citizenship for Americans: 1. A passport issued under competent authority, 2. An Alien Registration Card (this applies to United States of America permanent residents only) 3. A certified copy of a birth certificate with government issued photo identification (this applies to Canadian and United States citizens only) 4. A Certificate of Naturalization, issued by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service.

So you will need your passport or birth certificate/license and your fiance will need his Alien Registration Card.
