dntw8up, I wish that was the case but I distinctly remember bending over earlier in the day and thinking I heard a rip and brushed my hand down my backside to see but the material is very worn and I didn't feel a tear so I just went along about my day and forgot about it.
Novanut, I have tools if you need them.
Thanks Tam,
Probably going to head over to C.A.M. tomorrow and look around there.
Dear Nova,
I assume you mean K-Mart? Wal-Mart - I wish.
It's Green Cay Marina - Either the Galleon or the Deep End Bar. And Steve is a great musician.
Isn't exploring great!
Linda,
The Wal Mart experience I referred to was in Roswell and I'm sure the aliens are still laughing!
Thanks for the correction on Green Cay. And it was the Deep End Bar. What a Talent!
Yes, exploration for this newbie is a great adventure...

Now here's what we need more of down here for the kids who want to make something of themselves or are good with their hands. In lieu of a good vocational/technical school, this is a good start:
http://stthomassource.com/content/news/local-news/2009/09/21/not-profit-my-brothers-workshop
I have a friend that is going to be working with that organization here on stx. It's a great program.
Not all are college bound & nor should they be (IMO) but in many cases they can make more as a good plumber or electrician or a lot of other trades judging by what I've paid plumbers & electricians as well as good mechanics. And that's the same situation on the mainland.
Trade,
My Plumber retired, he is 45 years old. My MBA Stock Broker is 68 and will work till the day he dies.
I don't doubt it, Lizard!
Free flu shots if you're old at Tutu Park Mall Friday. The times are something like 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
What about if you're old on STX
I guess you just have to catch the flu. 😀 Seriously, I'm sure whoever's doing the one on STT will probably have the same on STX. You might want to contact the Health Dept.
STX has the Rum factory, we don't need Flu shots.
I could see the other Virgins from St. Croix this morning. 🙂
You didn't wave.
Today has been eventful for me! started with coffee on our balcony overlooking Magens, Peterborg (thought I spied Dntw8up over there *-), the Brasses and all those other amazing little islands! Did some more job searching and sending out resumes, Pamela (on the board too) and I have decided that we are going to network together to hopefully find some jobs. After all of that was done I decided I needed to go into HomeDepot to fill the gas tank and then over to Big KMart....did you know they got NEW shopping carts? Yahoo, I cringed every time I had to touch one of their old ones, oh and I yes I am a germaphobe according to my fiance! While I was shopping in TuTu I got caught in that incredible rain storm, soaked from head to toe by the time I loaded my stuff into the jeep.
When I got back home I had a great surprise of my daughter here doing her laundry and eating our food(tu), but its all good! Even though she just lives "down the hill" it is still a nice surprise to have them come over and spend some time. Probably should call my mom now! While Jillian was here we watched (in horror) as a cloud came right thru our french doors and into our living room! Of course I ran from window to window in an attempt to keep it out, all the while Jillian is laughing and telling me its no use! That is one of the downfalls of living high up on Crown Mtn, that and the mold!
So, I think I am going to get some chicken together in some marinade for dinner now. But that was just a piece of my day here on STT! Cant wait for the rest of the day/night to happen!
Cheryl
yeah my son and his kids are over a couple of times a week doing laundry and cleaning out my fridge but I too enjoy the visits. soon to be in HI with the other son and his family
I used to complain about my daughter coming over and eating all the food and doing laundry. Since she left 2 weeks ago to move back to the states my fridge is overflowing with leftovers and I miss her terribly.
Trade, I didn't wave but I thought about all of you over on STT.
If I could get my kids to move here, I would DO their laundry.
Me too Juanita.
I just wanted to make a comment about Plaxico Burress. I was reading about his sentencing today. He received a 2 year sentence for shooting himself in the leg at a New York nightclub. I know Plaxico and his family. A good family and an exceptional young man. He is going to prison today because he is an exceptional young man with a wonderful family. He is no Michael Vicks. Even though his gun was legally registered in Florida, it had expired and was not licensed in New York. He was not harming anyone else but he broke the law. When I first read of this I could see his mothers face and her shame. Plaxico is going to jail because he shamed his family. They encouraged him to plead guilty and take his punishment and he did. I wish all families where like the Burress family. My heart goes out to them. I am proud of the example he has set especially to his 3 year old son and his unborn child.
On the dark side my daughter went to college with Michael Vick. Bad then. Bad now.
How did he shoot himself in the leg?
Trade, he had the gun tucked into the waist band of his pants. It slipped down his leg and fired, I guess while he was trying to catch it.
As a wide receiver, you'd think he'd have better hands
