Virgin Islands shrinking population
@vicanuck tidak begitu yang terjadi di kepulauan bangka bellitung indonesia
What does this mean?
Posted by: @knowlesstakBeen here for 1 year now! Loving life!!
Bought a home almost 3.5 years ago and have been transitioning into retirement (now fully retired) as a seasonal (half time) resident. The more time I spent on the island the more l love it. If not for my wife I’d be pretty much full time on island, just can’t take the cold climate (anything below 70 degrees actually) anymore . For the most part the things that bother many new comers don’t seem to annoy me too much…lack of shopping, poor (corrupt ?) government, lack of health care, crime and so on. The people, the recreation, the food, the natural beauty and of course the glorious weather. Since my retirement, which essentially started in March 2021, I’ve managed to not let things bother me as they once did. I still recognize the imperfections of the island and have recalibrated my expectations. The funny thing is, more often than not, I’m pleasantly surprised….In the context of having done some fairly major projects on our property, so lot’s of opportunity for disappointment.
That is great that you are enjoying your life in the VI. You have the right mindset. I am a little jealous because you mention lack of shopping, inadequate Healthcare, crime and corruption don't bother you. They bother me but I love going to the fsted pier at sunset and watching the sun go down it calms me down. Very relaxing. I hope your positive outlook continues for many decades more
