I heard on the news that the owner of Virgin Airlines (don't know his name), bought an island off the west coast of Australia and he also owns an island in the USVI. Can any of you locals verify this and if so which one is it ? Thanks.

Necker Island off Virgin Gorda.... His name is Richard branson.

You can rent the island for 26,000 USD a night.

Also.... He's a British chap, and of course the island is in the BVI.

Only 26,000 Dollars a night? What a bargain! All I need to do now is rob a bank or get elected as GOV of the USVI and misappropriate some funds to put towards my annual vacation and I should have all the money I need.

Alex, I would suggest the bank robbery. You don't want to associate with the lowlife that call themselves public servants. Bank Robbers have a much higher social standing in the USVI.

I saw a great clip on Necker Island on the Travel Channel recently. Maybe on the show "Top 10 Caribbean Beaches" or something like that. Very nice!
