We are honored this week to have Vice President elect Sen. Biden and his wife Jill visiting here in the Vi for a few days this week.
Since the President elect Sen. Obama also visited here twice during his campaign maybe the new administration will have a more personal viewpoint of our Territory.

I heard that the vice president is staying on Water Island. Anyone know if that is true?

Always happy to hear this kinda news.
CNN has a report on an island wide outage in Oahu, Obama was sent a generator. Makes me laugh tho how they get all this coverage and our 36 hour outage went unnoticed!

Me too. I hope we are not disappointed.

I actually voted for the first time in my life during this election - voted Democrat across the board in a Republican state.

Well since we cannot vote for the President living here -- I think it is extraordinary goodwill that they have spent their campaign and vacation time here with no hope of any votes in return.

Sorry to be a cynic but if they went to another island not a US territory, the press would lambaste them.

Hilton Head, Kiawah,Sanibel,Catalina, Palm Beach etc. and many others with voters -- I'm impressed and thankful they came here. And WAPA has co-operated so far - sorry about Oahu.

Thanks for the answer Ronnie, but I found out for myself today. Half of the dock for the excursion boats in Crown Bay is blocked off for all the police boats in the water over there. DPNR and Port Authority have 3 or 4 boats between them, zipping back and forth. The VIPD Mobile Command Center is also set up over there, along with about 2 dozen dark tinted SUVs. Apparently one of the smaller cruise ships is scheduled to take the smaller dock there and has gotten bumped because of all the hub bub.
