I have no idea what this means but CNN is reporting "The MV Theresa VIII, owned by a Virgin Islands company and operated from Singapore, was seized in the Indian Ocean on Monday, according to a statement from the European Union Naval Force Somalia, whose charge includes combating maritime piracy."

Is the company that owns this in the USVI? Anyone know anything about this. The captain has apparantly died. I don't know that any Virgin Islander's are on board, it said the ship is operated out of SIngapore and the crew was North Korean.

Thanks Antiqueone, I really wish the news organizations out there realized there is a BVI and USVI 🙂

Forget the news orgs, I'd be happiest if mail order retailers could figure it out. (Nothing more maddening to find a store ships to Puerto Rico but has no clue about us right next door...)

Oh my god, GTG, tell me about it! I've collected vintage jewelry since I was a kid, and none of the dealers I've been working with over the past few years recognize USVI as a US location. So I don't know what I'm going to do once I get moved. And don't get me started on the gift I ordered from Amazon that took 3 weeks to get to a friend in Christiansted, when it said it would take 5 days...
