We have two young children age 2 and 4. I would like info on neighborhoods, schools, etc. It would be great to establish contacts and meet new people.

I am in the internet sales and development business and my family and I are arriving this summer with my company. We love to enjoy time with our boys and my wife and I love to party and make new friends. We look forward to our new life on St. Thomas!

Neigborhoods..... I would say that the concept of neighborhoods in the US mainland is quite different from in the USVI. Although we have 'areas' or neigborhoods... well it's just different. It is not like you have a residential area, a school for that area, a play ground, a park..... as most neigborhoods are in the mainland. You will have to drive to call parks, play grounds, schools, beach... and the beach is the biggest kids playground in the USVI hands down!

Red Hook has quite a few 'watering holes' that you and your wife could meet people. So does Havensight. You might want to attend Business After Hours - a once a month event the Chamber of Commerce sponsors - check the newspaper for news on that... you will make business contacts there.

Schools - well there are several - do you want information on public schools or private schools?

Thanks for the feed back. We are interested in private schools and would like info public schools as well. Our kids are 4 and 2 years, so preschool is pretty much their speed right now.

Again, thank you for the info.
