VI driver's license
I am moving to St Thomas in June or July. I am going to attend the University. Anyways on to the question. I think I read some where on here that if you you bring your car you have to change your driver's license to a VI driver's license. Since I am going to be there just for school and not there all year round do I need to get my driver's license changed? What if I buy a car when I get there, do I still need to?
P.S. this is site is a huge help in preparing for my move. Keep up the great work.. I will have been checking back daily to see everything that has added..
Chris
Generally when you move here you have three months to get a local license. I don't think they consider being in school moving here. Students are usually excempt from these things.

Thanks for the information. I apperciate it. Ronnie
Perhaps what you read was in regard to the license plate on the car. If you bring a car here, you must immediately get VI plates. You can't drive on VI roads legally with stateside plates.
