After being out of the military for 16 years, I recently signed on with the VA here on STT, and, if the the VA on STX is anything like what I am experiencing here, you will NOT be impressed...not in the positive way, anyway. JMHO. We have ONE doctor, who seems to visit the clinic once per month...talk about overworked! I felt as if I didn't receive one tenth the care I should have received. And, this was after waiting over 2 hours to be seen...with others that had been waiting the same amount of time...and still others whom had to wait longer. There was going to be a new Vet's Center built where an old hurricane-damaged hotel stood...but now it's been changed to low-income housing. The Vets get screwed again. Typical. Anyone else have any input on this?

Yeah, if I recall correctly a senator's husband made some money on that Vet's place. It's really a shame. Can you use VA facilities in Puerto Rico?

I Live in St Croix Part Time. I go to the VA Medical Center in NJ, However Last Jan 06, I had a problem with my health and went to the VA Clinic in ST Croix USVI. Its a small Clinic but they have a good staff and a great Doctor.
The Doctors Name is Colon, She was a LTCMDR in the US Navy. They referred me to various labs in St Croix and gave me excellent care and follow-up. This Clinic is part of the Puerto Rico VA medical Center. They have a pharmacy on site. Their phone number is 340/778-5553. I might agree that sometimes you have to wait, but I also wait for non VA doctor visits as well. If you use the VA Clinic in ST Croix you will not feel rushed.I'm retired US Army SFC and very happy we have a clinic on the island.

I too use the VA clinic on STX and have found the staff to be very professional. They actually kinda stand out to me as one of the only professional establishments Ive encountered here. Friendly service with attention to detail.

As per your question: It is easy to get to with plenty of parking. office is on ground floor. One curb from parking lot to enter door.

Thanks for all the information. Also the VA Clinic in Key Wast, Fl. is very good. Its new and uses the small new Naval Hospital attached to it.
PS I am assuming the clinic is in Csted.
