I am pretty excited about the idea.
I have been looking in the VI building code book but cant find anything that says i can or cant.
Does it have to be inspected? does it need running water, electricity?
Has any one actually done this? Feel free to pm any thoughts.
Thanks

Greetings All
New to the group, love what goes on here. I have a question...I am living mainland and family & I are relocating over next few years. Is it possible to apply for a zone change from the mailland to change an A1 zoned 40 acres to R1 or R2? Want to build rental bungalows( approx max 75 persons occupancy) and have leased farming.

You are more likely to get a change for a few acres and stress the leased farming part for a larger section keeping A1 - I am not sure is R1 or 2 would allow for your 'business of rental cottages - this sounds more like a minor subdivision with some commercial aspect - get a local law office who has good contacts in the Legislature and also can help get everything really organized before you apply.

Thanks exit zero!
We have been using local law office for other biz, & have family on the island in some positions (that may or may not be helpful!) & it looks like we have to either get the real estate law offices there to handle it and/or spend more time on the island moving things along for the money & time.
