US Airways web site advertising
Have any businesses been approached by a company selling advertising on US Airways web site? Do you think they are legit?
I am always so skeptical about this sort of thing.
Hello,
Mark Tlalka here from Kinglobjaw.com- The most comprehensive US Airways supporter on the web.
If you are interested in advertising on USAirways.com, I suggest you contact US Airways's Advertising dept directly: http://www.usairways.com/awa/content/aboutus/advertise/default.aspx for information and pricing.
Best Regards,

Thanks Mark
They came by 2 days ago, they're legit.
Betty,
You know they're legit because?????
Went to the kinglo....website.
Kind of strange and disjointed. I don't "get" what it's about other than it's a young guy who likes to fly a lot on US Air.
The business in particular that they came by to has been doing business with US Air for a long time. Not saying we're going to do it but they fax over the information to look into it.
If you have any concerns you really should be calling US Air not the VI Now website. 🙂
Thanks for the advice Betty; I was just looking for some input from other business owners which is what this board is all about.
No one the rep said he had contracts for had signed up; US Air doesn't seem to be flying to STX till Dec--doesn't sound like a wise investment to me.
Yeah, US Airways dropped us as a "regular" destination about 2-3 years ago and even then they were Saturday's only from CLT. They haven't had daily service from Charlotte since 2002. They were partners with Caribbean Sun so you could take them to SJU and codeshare over to STX daily. But Caribbean Sun stopped flying about 2 years ago (and were owned by Stanford so wouldn't be flying now anyway). Once that partnership ended they became pretty much a non-player in STX...they have one flight a week from December through like April and that's it.
We really need to get more air service to STX for reasonable prices. I travel enough that I burn miles when AA is gouging (they wanted $550 for a one way to the state's and $750 for r/t with over a weeks notice recently) but to the average non frequent flier it is so expensive to travel to the islands. The govt doesn't help with their ridiculous landing fees, fees that they raised shortly after 9/11 which caused US Airways to pull out.
