UPS / FedEx deliveries
I have a P.O. Box because I'm out East on a private road with no name. I have a plot number of course and use it with any local government correspondences.
But,
Will UPS and FedEx deliver directly to my home?
You'll probably have to call them to give directions when packages arrive or have instructions on whatever package you're having delivered to have your telephone number included in address info so they can call you to get directions for delivery.
You can also choose to pick up yourself if you really need what you've ordered and they don't have you on delivery list for that day (or the next!)
I've done both but mostly had delivery to my house in STT which is slightly off the beaten track.
Since you live on a no name road, you'll have to make the effort to ensure delivery. You may end up being the last delivery of the day but it'll get there.
Just make sure you have a tracking number.
Good luck.
(The delivery guys don't use plot maps. Learn the Fed X and UPS office personnel names if you plan on using often.)
Keep in mind that UPS and Fedex consider the VI international so their shipping rates reflect that. I have ordered a few things online that were shipped UPS with free shipping though. When the TV arrived broken it took a while to explain to Best Buy why they couldn't issue a UPS Ground pickup-order (they tried) to return the broken TV before they ship a new one. They finally just shipped a replacement which arrived in once piece.
FedEx has never found any of the places I've lived on STX and I've always gone to their office for pickup. But, then, UPS has had me pickup as well.
you can also use the mail box place up in sunny isle for shipments for a fee.
just call them to find out the rates

FedEx can't even find my front door in the states more often than not. Leave stuff out at the end of the driveway. They are just lazy I think.
They deliver to my doorstep in FL and ring the bell to let me know a package has arrived.
In the VI, I'm usually on the phone with the driver giving directions!
I've had FedEx and DHL drivers call me to say they have a delivery. When I told them I wasn't home they asked where I was. And delivered my packages there. FedEx has delivered packages to me at Cheeseburgers. And once in the parking lot by Bob Lynch Trucking at the airport. In that situation the driver was on the field off loading her packages from the plane. she had me call her when I got to the parking lot. and she came out woth my package.
The DHL driver called to ask directions to my house. I told him I wasn't home. And he wouldn't be able to leave it for me as the property is gated. He asked where I was. I told him I was working at a house in Shoys. He said if I gave him directions he would bring it to me there. He pulled up 15 minutes later. I thanked him so much for going out of his way. He said if they didn't do it that way more than half thei deliveries would never be made.
We have had the same experience with FedEx. They once came and brought my package to the grocery store where I was shopping.
UPS has never delivered, but FedEx is great... but I know a lot of the delivery guys from work so that helps out
