thanks but i want to know who actually hears it lol
WE WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT THAT. I'M THINKING I'LL STICK MY HEAD OUTSIDE AND SEE IF I HEAR ANYTHING.
I was outside and barely able to hear it. Had I not known what it was it would have sounded like a cow giving birth.
it was not easy to hear inside our building, but we have a siren right outside and when we went out we could here it.
Most friends on Facebook saying they barely heard it or not at all.
I was on top of scenic east on STX and unable to hear it outside
seems a lot of people did not hear it
I am at 5 Corners, we did not hear anything.
WAS IT A WARNING OR TEST??
TEST ONLY............
WAS IT A WARNING OR TEST??
You should sign up for text and mail alerts.
if it was real, you'd have been asking a bit too late.
At St C Condos . . . heard nothing, and I knew it was coming, so I listened for it!
Bernie
It was load and clear around Gallows Bay area!
Loud and very clear on STT north side and right on time, just as the media announcements over the past few weeks said ...
East end stx could not hear...
If real we would be screwed. Why one at Cramer
Park and not at CV fire station?
Good question.
Poorly placed. If in hills of east end stx the
Sound does not travel well. Glad a test. Hopefully
They will move them around or add.
and increase the sound it makes. i dont know anyone that heard them except those who said they did here
East End St. Croix......sounded very soft, couldn't understand speaker's message. Easily could have slept through it. They need to fix this warning system or yet another expensive VI failure.
Heard it very loud in downtown C'sted ... was almost ready to run for higher ground 🙂

I would assume there is one at Cramer's Park because it is a beach/park area that is frequently used and people would need to evacuate. There is also the NRAO facility across the road that is staffed and they would need to know. I think adding one to CV area is a good idea but moving the one at Cramer's is a bad idea.
If you're in an area where you either couldn't hear or barely heard the warning, best plan is to contact the agency in charge of the system and let them know. This is why the system is tested, to make sure it's working as it should.
