Good Morning to everyone!
I am in search of a tailor with a good reputation on STT that you would trust with a wedding dress.
Anyone know someone good?

December, so plenty of time. I don't need too much work, just needs to be shorter on the bottom and the halter tightened.

Why not check with one of the fabric stores in Charlotte Amalie STT? They may be able to direct you to someone.
1. Fabric in Motion--on the street behind the Greenhouse Restaurant. The owner is in the shop during the week, but has someone else working on Saturday. The owner sells garments she has sewn.
2. Fabric Store--one block from Maude Proudfoot Dr. [toward the harbor. Maybe someone else can give you directions. They carry a lot of "dressy fabric"
3. Rose's Fabric and Crafts--behind Pizza Hut
There may be others, but these are the ones I know about.
Ask to see samples of the person's work before committing to anything. Be sure you understand how they plan to do the work. Does the halter have boning or stiffening that will have to be moved? Are they allowed to cut off the extra fabric when hemming or do you want it to stay with the dress in case someone else will wear it later [Is it a family heirloom dress in other words.] Talk to the person you choose and ask questions.
