Tree Frogs Info needed...
ok. There's a habit developing here...it's frogs in my clothes. They get in my jeans when I hang my clothes to dry.
This frog is medium-sized, and kinda white-grey.
Are they poisonous?
PICS! 🙂 that's cool.
I'll ask my my friend who is a reptile biologist but for the most part most of our frogs aren't tho the crappo can exude toxins from its skin if an animal attempts to bite it which can result in convulsions and in some cases death of an animal. So shake the little buggers out of your clothes and I'll post info when I get it. If you have pics it would help.
All that I know is that piss a lot when you get them to jump. And whenever it rains, even a little, that start making a ton of noise!!!! But they are kinda cool.

My friend says; "Cuban tree frogs, most likely. Not poisonous but they do produce a noxious secretion that can irritate mucus membranes."
Here is a link to the white tree frogs typically seen around my house. I usually find them behind accordian storm shutters or inside bromeliads containing water. When we were doing a renovation project a few years ago, three west indian guys came acroos one sleeping inside a concrete wall they were modifying and would not get close to it. They said they would spit poison in your eyes if you got close enough. Only after I reached in and grabbed it and let it go in the bushes would they continue work on the wall. Its funny how people can believe so unquestionably in something with so little proof. But no doubt they can startle you when they jump on your leg or neck at night - so far no skin reaction to my encounters, so I lean towards them being harmless to the average person.
As others have said the very common oval whitish frog is the Cuban tree frog. They aren't particularly dangerous to people but they are a real hazard to dogs.
I did not realize they are an invasive species and compete with native species.

The crappos (frogs/toads- not sure whichthey are) that I was speaking of in earlier post are different and much larger.
Those are the ones that are extremely harmful to pets as they exude toxins from skin similar to that of the cane toad which results in convulsions and death of pets who attempt to ingest them.
Alana33, yes, that's the frog!
They are invasive, they are in my pants!
Thanks everyone, I'm glad to know they are not poisonous, they can stay, IF they mind their territory & stay in the trees! 🙂
I asked my biologist friend about what I locally refer to as the crappos and she said:
"Crappeaux. Cane toads. Rhinella marina, formerly Bufo marinus."
Keep your animals away form these at all costs!
I did not realize they were indeed cane toads but knew the toxic reaction to them in animals was akin.

As usual the picture doesn't show up. ADMIN, can we pretty please get this picture thing figured out? The only thing that works is a direct link to photos. I'm pretty web savvy and have tried everything.
I'd rather have frogs than SPIDERS, especially big giant scary ones. Frogs eat spiders, all night long. Put a coat on them and dogs won't eat them.......sorry! It is late and just had to chase a big black ground spider out of the house, damned thing was the size of my hand. I have the heebeejeebees. Not charmed. I'll take frogs, any day.
Alana.. 3 more huntsmans on patio this week lol. YIKES!
