The seaplane is my favorite but there is also

or you can call 340-775-7292 about the ferry schedule.
Travel between stx and anywhere is not cheap, so you will generally need to plan in advance to try and get something below $100 one way.
There is always the ferry that runs Friday, Sat, Sun & Monday, but they are know to cancel at the last second. They chg $90 round trip. Its a very rough trip, much rougher then the ferries that go from stt to stj or the bvi's. Even people that don't usually get seasick sometimes get sick on it.
Sometimes the sea plane offers wkend special prices,or you can also buy them in bulk, but I think you have to buy like 10 tickets!
Sea plane is the funnest, followed by cape air..........................I soooooooo wanted the co-pilot seat!!! Cape air planes are small & if you are one of the lucky ones, they let you sit in the seat right next to the pilot!!! Drag of it, you need to go to the airports. Sea plane lands right in the harbor of STT, heart of Charlotte Amalie. You can walk to all the shops & eateries. Walk the huge pier, see all the cruise ships, dolphins swimming playfully in the harbor (generally early am)....kinna like a lil NYC in the Caribbean. Catch a safari, rent a scooter, just be careful crossing the streets..................traffic can be quite mad there.
And the best part, if your flight is messed up, they really go all out to make sure you get back to your home island!

Cape Air (the pilot) always puts the pretty girls in the co-pilot's seat......not me.....

LOL............my pilot was a lady. (every time I flew...got the same pretty blonde pilot).............guess she didn't want another girl by her!!!
I think they also sort you by height & weight..............too skinny & always stuck in the middle, but still fun!

No, they don't. I've sat in the copilot's seat twice in the past month. 😀
If the Cape Air flight isn't to full just ask the pilot. If you don't look like a crazy that will fight him for the controls and your body weight is average the seat is yours for the asking. It is usually the last seat they fill.
If you take a flight after sunset on a night with a moon it is spectacular. Moon light on the Caribbean and the cruise ships lights blazing visible to the east heading down island.

I've been in the co-pilot seat, but I guess I must be too short. I really couldn't see as much as from a regular seat. Still, it was cool. I would do it again.
The pretty blonde female pilot was Danyel, C'air 329. Sitting in the front seat is easy, just ask. If weight and balance permit the seat is yours.
I don't know......but twice the pilot lined us up and picked the pretty girl to sit next him.......(lol).
