transmission work - STX?
My husband needs a 4WD transmission sensor module installed in his 2005 Chevy Avalanche. At my request, he went to Caribbean Auto Mart so that their computer could tell him what was needed, but did not agree to have them do the repair. I believe I remember reading on the board that Jeff & Terry's comes highly recommended. Does anyone know if they do transmission work? Is that who you would use? And who would you recommend to do an oil change / tune-up with maybe a belt replacement (for a Jeep)?
Thanks!
Lisa
Try Mike at MPH located just off of 5 corners.
I second MPH. Just had my Jeep over there for a replacement of a U-joint, inspection and oil change. Mike is great!

Thanks, guys! Which "corner", or what is he near at Five Corners?
I recommend Marvin at Marvelous Auto Repair on Midland Rd. He used to be the transmission guy for Caribbean Auto Mart some years ago. He's worked the transmissions of two of my cars.
I think MPH Automotive is in the big L-shaped building in the middle of this satellite photo http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=103963589286278152128.00000112d2a5660682b87&t=h&ll=17.753729,-64.726204&spn=0.002646,0.003449&z=18
The Five Corners intersection is just to the southeast of there. Zoom out and scroll around to get your bearings.
I agree with Ric & using Marvin @ Marvelous Auto on Midland Road. He's located about 1/4 -1/2 mile just west of intersection of 75 & Midland Road where Capitol Gas station is at. He's done work on our cars and neighbor's car -always top notch.

Too bad I'm not there yet. I will be working for GM in a couple of months, but I will be on STT
Try the Bike shop in Castle Coakley - you can reach them at 344-4608.
