Hey Teresa,
I know you've posted this but I couldn't find it; so plz forgive me for asking for it again. What moving company did you use in K.C. ? We are looking for quotes for just a pallet. Not alot but it might be cheaper. Thanks!
Also, just an FYI - They broke ground downtown for the new Sprint Arena ! Pretty cool, huh?

Hello My fellow Kansas Citians! 🙂

I just met 'Island Ed' (other wise known as Edgar) at the get together last night. It seems he is adjusting well. Anyway, I had to ask my husband about our shipper. I nearly forgot who we used! For the truck we used Lee from Managed Freight (as you may know) and for our household goods we used Crowley (340-774-2933). Although we could have used Managed Freight for both, they were great with our truck. Crowley shipped everything fine. We packed it ourselves and nothing had moved or broken in shipping.

My husband is a big hockey fan and we were hoping the Sprint arena will bring a home hockey team to K.C. I don't miss the traffic tie ups in K.C., but I do miss all my friends and family and even the city...a little bit! 🙂

Yes, we spent 4th of July at the ROYALS game - which they lost, but it was great fun to eat hot dogs and cheer for the home team. Afterwards there were great fireworks! How much is the 4th celebrated there???

Hey Travelwoman, If you haven't met Teresa, you two are going to get along great! She is awfully nice, and has some great kids and husband too!
Celebrate the 4th of what here? I think it just blurrs right into whatever else they are celebrating here, and that is hard to tell because it doesn't take anything for the people here to be celebrating! Take what ever number of holidays are in the states, and double or triple them, and you'll have an idea of the celebrating that goes on here... can't wait can you! LOL Maybe we can have a KC expatriate day celebration with fireworks and all! What do you think?
