Tile floor stripper on STX
Does anyone know where I can rent a floor stripper/cleaner for my saltillo floor tiles.
Thanks.
HAVE YOU CHECKED RELIABLE RENTALS? sorry for the caps
Thanks, I'll check. No worries about the caps.
Tammy
This tile floor stripper thread wasn't about what I was hoping..
I know i was disappointed, I was thinking i was missing something.
Ditto. Thought for a moment that Doug had a special birthday coming up.
Well. We can throw some pasties and a thong on the stripper and you can all come over and take her for a twirl polishing these floors. I'll provide music, food and drinks.
You guys are great! Thanks for making me laugh!
Tammy
Aw shucks, can you go for a male stripper (no pasties)?
Will strip (tile) for beer
Tart, my birthday is next month. It could happen.
Sparty, all the beer you can drink.
Floor stripper - I would be happy with a pole dancer.
Why rent one. I bought this. Works great.
Free shipping too!

I doubt a little bitty floor cleaner like that would strip a floor. The commercial machines are super heavy duty for tough jobs.
Tammy, a word of caution. If you find one and if you've never used one before, watch out. The first time I used one to strip off a really grungy gross terrazzo floor I had no idea of its power and weight and it took me on a wild hair-raising whirl around the floor before I could wrest control of it. A true Mary Poppins moment. 😀
Sky, how did it work? I was thinking like OT that I would need an industrial one.
Yes Tart, I had one take me for a ride once. I thought my arms were jerked out of their sockets.
True dat, OT!
They are powerful!
Good job for hubby.
A rental will definitely do a faster job. Koblenz makes the big machines too. We have textured tile and 4 dogs. Needless to say the floors get pretty grimy. In the past we've scrubbed it with a brush on a pole and then we bought a Hoover floormate. It does an OK job. The machine I tagged above has 2 counter rotating 6 inch brushes. It takes some time but is easy to use and scrubs the floor. Buy floor stripping concentrate, wet an area, scrub, mop, move, repeat.
Normally mopping is sufficient. Once every 6 months to a year it needs a deep cleaning.
If you have wax build up or sealer you're trying to get off,.... Rent the big boy.
Thanks Sky. We need to clean these floors up and put new sealer on them. A big job for sure. Doug said reliable rentals has one. I am dreading the job.
just ordered one. hubby cant wait to use it.
