Fabulous article in the Herald today. Quick read while entertaining. Suddenly the USVI is an affordable vacation destination.

Thanks for sharing, Tippi! The only major transgression I noticed was the "only an hour ahead of East Coast time" bit -- bound to confuse a few folks, but oh well.
If only "sister island St. John remains pristine" were as true as it sounded... greed in real estate hit here, as everywhere.
The one part that had me laughing was about the US Transplants.

This very same article appeared in Long Island, NY's Newsday a couple of weeks ago. The freelance author is apparently selling it around. I must say, though, that several people who know of my many visits to and love of the islands have come to me talking about the article and expressing interest in visiting.
