We will be coming in Aug for two months and then for 6 months next year. I can usually keep busy with scuba, but my wife is looking for something else to do besides going to the beach.
I know about the Palleteers, but is there any other type of groups that she might find interesting? Sewing groups, book clubs, ??? She doesn't play golf or SCUBA.
What type of volunteer groups are there?

Would she want to volunteer at a school? Mentoring? Reading to children? Assisting with homework?

I know the book store at Gallows Bay (Undercover Books) has a book club and they also need volunteers to read to children on Saturday mornings.

If we're ever gonna get her down here for good, we have to get her involved. Does she like theatre? Could she get involved with the community theatre group? She could watch a ball game at the ball park across from Pizza Mare.

I have friends who volunteer at St. George Botanical Garden, The Animal shelter, toutering and mentoring. The SEA, St. Croix Environmental Association could use some help, so could the Women's colition and the homeless allways could use some understanding. There are a lot of non-profit organizations that would appreciate her help and support.
