My wife met Amy Carter yesterday. Said she was very nice.

Carters went to Buck Island today on Reef Explorer in St Croix.

I arrived in STT three months ago, not one person ask where I might be staying.
Sure wasn't the Ritz though. Oh yeah, there was a sighting of me today...@ work.:D

Just a little fun!!

I was stuck in Crown Bay too --- trying to get my friend to the airport. I was told by a cop there was no way out until the VP was safely out of the way. NO WAY OUT. No back streets, no way to get out and around (I ended up on a back street in total gridlock) - We had to just sit there and wait.
I can see diverting traffic, but to have a complete halt is ridiculous.

This is how they roll no matter where they are. When Bill Clinton visited they closed roads in every direction for 15 minutes!

When I lived in Kennebunk Maine it was such a pain when the Bush family stayed in Kennebunkport. Roads closed, traffic.

a story, I built the guard shack at the entrance to the Bush Estate in Kennebunkport. A concrete bunker with bullet proof glass was delivered and my contract was to make it look like a Victorian gate house. The plans were about 15 pages long and the specifications about 25 pages. It was sided with an intricate cedar shingle design with break out machine gun ports.
We built it exactly as drawn by the Architect and were finishing up on a Friday afternoon when the Presidential motorcade approached. The third car to come in was a limo which stopped, rolled the window down and Barbra Bush said " The roof is too steep, change it." and drove on. On Monday a call from the Architect, trying to find blame then 2 weeks later another 10 page plan and spec sheet. We ripped off the cedar shingled roof and changed the pitch. I forgot how much it cost and it took almost 6 months to get paid. They spent a lot of tax money on that property.

Traffic Delays happen whenever a Presentational motorcade is in any town. Remember you're on island time, relax, chill and enjoy the view!

More famous people should vacation here... it's good PR for the islands.

What should President Carter be ashamed of? No matter what you think about the job he did as president, he is a honorable man who has led a life of integrity and service since he left the White House. He is my favorite former president.
