Trying to find someone to refinish some chairs in gallows bay and I drove past this "Ale House" place. My man looooves craft brew and he misses brewing his own. So I parked and went in and WOW! It's filled to the brim with hundreds of craft beers!! They even stock my absolute favorite - Framboise Lambic. I almost fell over. That's what I always ask statesiders to bring me when they visit. They have a massive selection and the next day I took A and we bought $85 in beer! The also have a hot dog cart out front.
It's opposite side of the road of computer solutions and kind of tucked back into the corner. The guy said he's been there three years but nobody I know here has heard of the place so I wanted to give them a shout out. If you like beer and special wines (tequila and such too) - def go take a look. It's pricey - to be expected from beers from all over the world but for us totally worth it! Really excited to find this place. I think they have a better selection of beer than bevmo! Enjoy!

I listen to 104.9 The Mongoose online up here in Philly while at work. I hear the commercials for The Ale House all of the time. I've been telling my wife that we have to check it out when we get back down there. Thanks for doing the recon. Cheers!!!

AandA, they do have an amazing selection, dont they. not too long ago someone posted about the hotdogs being good also.

The Ale House is a great store! Its the perfect place to find that special wine, bottle of liquor or amazing craft beer. They've been having a few wine tastings over the past few months that have been well attended. And...the hot dog cart is absolutely awesome! More and more people are discovering this great spot in Gallows Bay!

I get my Samuel Smith oatmeal stout there, 2x's the stateside price but sometimes it's all about the beer.

Dan is in no small part responsible for to upsurge in craft beer in the VI. Many if not most of the good craft beers in STT come from him and he is the distributor for Rogue in the VI.
I go there every time I am in STX.........
