Thanks for all the hurricane advice

Irene packed a punch when she got to VT so I'm grateful for all great advice I received on this forum. I was well prepared but the most important thing I got from many here is the sense of seriousness about hurricanes. My family is okay and my home suffered some damage but nothing compared to many of neighbors and others in VT and sad to say but some of them where laughing at me for taking it so seriously prior to the storm. Were just not prone to hurricanes so that's why it's easy to not take it so seriously.

Thank god I took the advice about skipping the hurricane party!!! I was completely sober and able to think fast when the flood waters came rushing at us.
