I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this board for being such a helpful resource in my move to STX. Today is my last day at work here and Tuesday I'm shipping the car via the Auto train down to Orlando. From there, drop it off at Tropical in Riviera Beach and then drive a rental down to Miami where I fly out. Anyone have any recommendations of things to do while down in Miami? I've never been there and have always wanted to visit.
Anyway, over the past several months you guys have been a wealth of information in preparing for this move, which is unlike any other I have ever experienced. Thanks again. 🙂

Yeah South Beach of course, if you are downtown Space is a neat night club and if you have time they have a cool aquarium in Miami.

South Beach definitely. We found a small hotel just off the main drag, Collins(?) and had a blast for 3 or 4 days before we flew to STX. Between the food and the people watching, we had a great time.

OMG...I was going to suggest Wolfie's Deli. I wasn't sure how to spell it, so I goggled it. Low and behold...it closed in March. A total American-Jewish institution, gone! I loved that place.
