Has anyone tried any of the temporary agencies on STX? I was thinking that they might have some accounting work until I could find something permanent? When we come down I will only have enough money for 3 months. Do you think that is enough or should I wait longer to save more? Thanks. I wish we were there now. It's REALLY hard to concentrate at work right now knowing we will be there soon!

I went to AllTemp when I first arrived and was not terribly impressed. I have many years of office experience, but it is very general knowledge and they were not helpful in finding a position that I might fit. It took me about a month of looking before I found something.
I would try some of the large employers first. I work at the Buccaneer and I know they are usually looking for office help.

You should go to the unemployment office at Sunny Isle. (it may be called something else but its in that strip where Kmart is...) They apparently have a big book of job listings that you can go through. I have friends that have successfully gotten good jobs this way. You may also want to call ahead as you may need to make an appt. Good luck!
