Sweet puppy needs good home, please
6 month old Betty is about 12" tall (most of long, long legs). She is solid black with just a few white hairs on her chest and her back toes. She is sweet, funny, loving and adventurous. She is part pomerian and part terrier. A formidable and brave hunter, poor Betty lost all her hair at about 2 1/2 months old and looked like a little black rat. I could not find her a home at that time. Her fur is back and is silky and smooth. She is guaranteed to make you smile. Her shots are up to date. She eats dry dog or cat food, canned dog food, table scraps and iquanas.
I have her mom, grandmom and brother and can't really keep another dog. Hubby refuses to let me get rid of the little boy or I would keep this little lover of a pooch.

You won't regret it!

I suggest going to see Donna at Sadie's Pet Boutique in town. Every time she has a dog in the store, someone adopts it. She ensures good homes. Or put a flyer up there for people to see when they walk in. People going in there love animals and probably don't want to see a dog go to the shelter.
Sorry, I'm on STT ..... I assume Sadie's is in STX? But what a good idea ... I'll see what we have on STT. Obviously I will keep her if I can't find her a home but she needs some kids not two old farts too old to play with her.

You might post a pic at the different Vet's offices. Also bring her to the monthly How 'Bout Your Pet party which is on a single Wednesday of the month (can't remember if it's the last Wed. or when) but you can call 777-1130. I bet you'll find a home for her there. I wish I could take her.
Found it. It's the last Wednesday of the month.

that's such a good idea!
how cute and funny and darn it just plain odd ... great idea. Maybe I will make her a little hobo outfit and put a banadana on a stick with a stick "looking for good home". She is so sweet - wish i could keep her but four dogs are one two many even when the don't weigh 50 pounds between all of them.
Thank you.
Mom, Grandma, brother?!?!?? Spay and neuter Are you a breeder?
Your last post got me thinking. Total dog poundage??
Let's see.....95+50+40+20 We have 205 pounds of Dogs! Funny way to look at it. They outweigh me! Hope they don't ever gang up! LOL
Nah, Grand Mom was preggers when I got her. Mom was only 5 months old and I didn't think she was ready to have such fun with boy dogs. Went to Tortola for a weekend and came home and guess what I WAS WRONG! Brother is Betty's brother (same mom and grandmom) so only uninformed! Everyone totally repaired now (fixed) except Betty who is going to be so if she doesn't find a home in a week or so.

I hope you get her adopted!!!:-)...but an FYI, don't let her or any other dog eat cat food. The protein contents are completely different and can really mess up a dogs system.
I have four dogs and two cats . There are six dogs and four cats elsewhere on the property. I try to keep them separate but what can you do? They steal the cat's food when they want to annoy the cats. And the cats eat the dog food when they want to annoy the dogs. It is all one big happy canine/feline family. My black and white cat has decided she would rather run with the dogs than stay with the cats. Vet says it won't hurt 'em as long as they are eating the right stuff most of the time. We live on an acre of land so no one is terribly confined most of the time. They come and go as the please. I want to come back as one of my pets, honestly!
I am going to take her around and introduce her to people tomorrow. Will try to get some photos. If she doesn't get a home, she can stay here but it would make my life easier if she found a new family of her own.
