STX with family for a month!

Maybe there are some cheap rates on the cargo ships from Miami (for those not in a super hurry to get here)?:D

I looked up the passenger accommodations on the cargo ships, expecting to see a mattress between two cargo containers, two drunken sailors vomiting on deck, and a cursing captain with a hooker.

It turned out that my cargo ship cruising stereotypes are very stale. Below are some pics.

Southwest now flies into PR, so, depending on where you are, you might get a better rate by flying to PR then Seaborne over to STX or STT.

Check Priceline. I found some really good ticket prices through that site to STX even during the busy season you are talking about.

I'm going to randomly start saying this to people who look touristy....

We're all set. My family has a great placed booked from Teri Weiss near Frederiksted on the beach and we've booked a Jeep through Centerline for just over $1k for three weeks. We have a small package on its way through USPS to offset what we'll need to drag with us at the airport. (Heather has to come down solo with our four and five year old)

We arrive on Feb 26th, and we can't wait!

How did you like it? Our family spent a month in STX last year and loved it! Just returned from another short trip there. We figured our way around pretty quickly and could have stayed forever. 🙂
