Have you ever noticed the police never use turn signals?

haha Trade thats to keep us off guard, so we went to the butterfly farm yesterday me my sister her jock boy affluent golfer boyfriend and number 2 lol enough adjectives for everyone? so we're doing the tour thing and our tour guide is an elf that looks like jessica tandy's real life dead husband,he's an older gentleman with these blue eyes that actually twinkle when he talks and he's showing us caterpillars and stuff and "host"plants and all this great info and then he shows us monarch caterpillars and i thought UH OH i just killed about 100 of those at my house because they had stripped one of my potted white frangiapannis of all of it's leaves and were headed in a line for the next one so there i am trying to dig a hole through the sand and cement to hide my head in because i just killed 100 monarchs haha and so i ask the elf if monarchs use white potted frangiapannies for their host plants because i had a few in my yard and he said NO that those were the great big moths that fly around at night and the caterpillars look the same except that the moth ones are longer, whew huge sigh of relief,i'm not a monarch killer and so we finished the tour and ohh and ahhed and my sister wore out her digital taking pictures and then we went to the delly deck for lunch.

Oh, trw, I am so happy that those are not monarch caterpillars because I killed a bunch too. I felt real bad about it. The ones on my frangipani were huge.

You moth-murderers, you. 😉 Had a bad experience at Pueblo, not that that's unusual but after work they had 2 cashiers + the Express Check-out & the oneI was at was ringing up somebody with all kinds of paperwork & buying a ton of Pet Milk & cans of fruit juice along with 2 of her friends doing the same. So I stood & waited while my rib-eyes warmed up & my ice cream melted. She said it would be a while & to go to another cashier. That one had a line the length of an anaconda. Finally another cashier opened & there was a stampede so I'm 3rd in line for that one when 3 different guys came up & pushed in front of me because "we only have a few things." Didn't ask nor did they go to the Express Check-out. I left the cart there & went to Gourmet Gallery where you're treated like a customer. I'll pay for that any day.

Worked all morning getting ready for Argifest. I am helping my friend Dan who has thousands of plants to sell. Wish us luck. All afternoon my daughter and I were cleaning our cottage in preparation for 10 stateside guests coming for my oldest daughters birthday. Hubby is still in the states but will be home on Saturday. Thank goodness. Trying to get JJ to bed. Too much Valentines Day candy. He is on a huge sugar high. Hopefully he will crash soon.

oh and i heard jock boy affluent golfer type lean over and tell my sister that the butterfly farm thing was the coolest thing he'd seen on STT so far and number 2 heard it as well so you STT'rs have a good thing over there, i wish they'd move here, number 2 would be so happy and i'd have my sister just 40 miles away instead of 2500-3000

I think they've got one in Sint Maarten so maybe STX will get one as well. Dougtamjj, I'd love to snag some of those plants. Have to go to work today instead of being off as an employee's social life is more important than mine & it also involved changing other people's work schedule around for this one part-timer who seems to think of the job as a nice place to go when there's nothing better to do.

I can actually remember being that young & unthinking so we'll have a little "discussion" if she shows up. An old boss was smart enough to make me see the light at that age so I'll pass it on.

Trade we had a bartender at one of my jobs i'll call the "lil scrapper" he is a little over 5 ft and thinks he's god's gift,he's got that good lookin white trash look going for him, you know the "badboy"thing and says things like"you can't have 2 bulls in one pen"when you ask him why he lives in his dads yard instead of in the house he's a white crucian or almost is because he grew up here and can talk the talk and do the language switch depending on who he's talking to,lol well i've known him for about 2 months now and he's managed to god's gift himself out of 2 jobs so sometimes the talk works and sometimes the talk does'nt

Oh, I know that type, trw. We had our little "come to Jesus" meeting but it probably didn't do much good. She's a nice girl but at that age everyone's heads are in the clouds.

I'm always amazed at how quiet STT is when there aren't any ships in port, like today. Whole different vibe & I didn't cuss under my breath one time driving to & from work.

hahaha Trade i get into moods like this when i'm driving and i think to myself why can't all of you people just stay off the road when i'm trying to get to work and home between jobs and then back to work and then home again, do you people realize it's ALL ABOUT ME and my needs, you're interfering with my ability to make money with your sunday driving on weds afternoon,i could care less about any of you, it's ALL ABOUT ME so just sense that i'm on the road and pull over so i can pass. and then i think why other half can't you do my laundry like you're supposed to, god you're supposed to take care of all this trivial stuff so i can concentrate on work, you work a parttime 40 hour a week job and i work over 80 so can you please just remember it's ALL ABOUT ME and do this stuff. when i get really tired i start to get this imperial arrogant attitude and this is how i start to think, and other half bless his soul just looks at me and says very sarcastically yes trw it's all about you, always has been and always will be and then goes back to reading the paper.

Well, of COURSE it's all about me. 🙂 However, I do appreciate how courteous most drivers are here such as letting you into traffic. Now if they'd only get the water taxi from the docks to downtown the traffic would improve immensely but that won't happen in my lifetime, I'm sure. After bad days at work, I just want to be HOME sometimes & get impatient.

Fell asleep yesterday at 5:00 PM & woke up at midnight so that explains my 4:00 AM posting above. Then fell asleep from about 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Hope I'm not up all night tonight.

If I may add...I had a great dinner at Savant last night. The pad thai was killer, hubby said the red curry was okay. He was hoping it would be spicer. Great atmosphere over there.

Glad to hear the reviews on Savant. I've been wanting to go there for a while, just haven't made it yet. Also, had lunch at Cafe Christine for the first time Friday. It was marvelous. Will go back soon! I've heard good things about St. Tropez, but a post on here a while back kind of turned me off. Someone was saying they have had a lot of staff problems, including the chef. Is that right? What do you all think of it? I hate to drive out to F'sted, deal with parking, pay a high price and be disappointed. Thanks.

Juanita,if i were you i'd make the time to drive there, they're both getting kinda old and i love the place, the way i look at it good or bad it's one meal out of a lifetime of meals, they won't all be good and they won't all be bad,and because i work in this business i try to never listen to other peoples reviews,i go and experience it for myself,so please go and then let us know what you think, limetree court is really a nice space for the place and i like all the old bottles and pictures and stuff all over and danielle likes to play cards in the afternoons and domino's at night when it's slow, i like the place because they do not close early, they are open the hours that they advertise they do not close during slow season which means to me that they are there for their guests and not for themselves, they are one of the very few places that actually carry caviar and escargot and french onion soup all at the same time, like i said it's one meal out of a lifetime of meals.

Been at Agrifest the last two days hauling plants for my friend Dan. Perfect weather, not too hot and only a little rain. Last year was so hot. Ate some conch, fungi and kalaloo, chicken and jonnycake. Good stuff. The plants and fresh fruit and veggies are wonderful. All JJ wanted to do was visit the animals and bounce in the blow up little houses with slides. The music is great. Everyone is friendly. Lots of smiles to go around. The teenagers are all flirting and holding hands, dancing to the music. Tomorrow is the last day and I am sure everything will be half price. A good day to go if you want fresh fruit and veggies or a few laying hens. All in all a good festival. I wish that the vendors were selling more locally made stuff. A few are but most of it is like cheap knock offs that you would find on the streets of Manhattan. There is a great art show at Good Hope School this weekend and tomorrow is the last day. All the really good local artist are there. It would be nice if they could combine the two and have the art festival at agrifest. In any case, a good weekend but I am tired and have 10 guests coming in 3 days. So much to do. Good night all.

Tammy

just in case anyone was wondering, you can now buy crack and weed in the side parking lot under the tree at the gas station across from pearl b. larson elementary school. i stopped there on the way home tonight from the 18mile benefit job for smokes and i was very graciously approached by a young man inquiring if i needed any weed or rock,i thought what a nice service the guy inside is providing his customers not only can you buy smokes gas and beer inside but weed and rock outside, what a novel idea,i very politely declined his offer got in my car and came home,he and his partner appeared to be doing a brisk business as there were 4 white boys with 12packs of bud all lined up sweating with anticipation of the joy to come.

Right by a school? Doesn't that add to the penalty if they get caught (I did say IF.) Seems like I remember back a while that there were some trouble-makers hanging around under an old mahogany tree. The powers that be decided to solve the problem by cutting the tree down.
