We got to EAT @ Cane Bay today for the first time. Truly enjoyable! Unbeatable view, delicious fish fry, burgers & mahi sandwich, pleasant but not overbearing service, and did I mention that view?

Dunno if it's been mentioned, but Lost Dog Pub out west has stepped up it's food game.
Pizza is still great, they do pasta nights on Thursday, and have a nice expanded menu, I've tried everything on it and didn't like just one item (but then, I'm not a shepherds pie type of guy, so it wasn't the foods fault).
They have a new menu, Sunday is an abbreviated menu so don't expect to get any of the new stuff then.
I heard that about Lost Dog too. I haven't been there for several years. The pizza was awful back then. Must check it out again.
Tap Deck, also in frederiksted, upstairs in the courtyard of pier 69 right next to Polly's
I went there last night
It's a tapis bar with several beers on tap (good ones too!) AC and pool tables. (AC!)
The tapis was tapis, the cheeses were amazing (the truffle cheese especially) and since I had 5 beers or so, I guess the beer was pretty good also (it was).
I feel even more like I picked the right side of the island now.. hopefully this trend continues.

We were there Friday night for the first time, the service was excellent, as was the flatbread and the drinks. Not touristy expensive either. Love the gallery overlooking Strand Street, and the subtle(ish) signs of the connection to Lyric Sails.
I'm guessing we we be frequent visitors, especially after we move back West.

Seeing that trend all around the island. STX has some great little spots.

Was there yesterday. Meat and cheese was good. They are not doing fondue until they figure out how to not have to make it to order. Some of the cheese seemed a bit overpriced for what you get though. Maybe it's just expensive cheese but a serving slice was the size of a Triscuit cracker and not much thicker.
Went to common cents pub last week and it was pretty darn good.
Tom got the Philly. I got the buffalo chicken quesadilla .
I definitely want to go back
Common Cents Pub kicks ass. I wish Jen good luck. She has a good staff too.

The rent is very expensive for that space. The last operator, Mike Mariano, found that it was difficult to turn a profit even as an experienced chef and restaurant consultant.
I've heard the food portions are skimpy but have not been there in person yet. She'll need to turn over a lot of tables every night to make it work.
Food portions are just right. i don't leave there feeling bloated.

Sounds promising...I will visit soon!
where on stx is the resturant located?
It's the former Tavern 1844 on Company Street in Christiansted.

Just went lastnight for their full menu, food was great.
Also Brew STX's new menu is amazing, I'll be eating there more often; very impressed.
So Brew STX upped their game? Food was just OK for a while.
brew pub changed hands not that long ago. their new menu is nice. we did eat there a few weeks back and the food was great under the old owners i ordered a Reuben, they did not know how to make it. not grilled and not cut. it was terrible .
dont forget, fusions is open again and their food is great. the menu was not as big as before though

Brew STX has been owned by Derek Shupe for about a year now.
I guess he also owns shapes. Went there once and wasn't that happy
