A friend and I were just talking about the lack of dog stands here, and the ones from the past. Miss Rocco dogs and Rose's Roadkill.....Good to know! I hope he's a success at it.
Finding a decent location to set up something like that can be an issue, and he's got a good spot.

Had a great meal at Galangal this past weekend. The rack of lamb was the best thai food I've ever had 🙂 They have certainly surpassed my last 2 visits to Savant.

Galangal is my new #1 for special occasions.

Anyone know what's going on with Salud; they have been closed for a few weeks.

We had their chili dog this week from the hot dog cart. It is located at Gallows Bay next to the beer store. The all beef dog is served on a crusty Thomas' bakery bun. Only $4.00!

For VIETNAMESE food lovers.
There is a new restaurant in Christiansted, on 14 Mt. Welcome across from the Ball Park.
SAIGON DELI: The Spring rolls are good (Authentic), so are the Shrimp & Noodle, and, Fried Rice.
The prices are good: 2 apps, 2 main courses, 4 Heinekens for $40.00!
The service is atrocious.

Joe's Bar & Grille is a great, good value, neighborhood restaurant.
We savored the best Lasagna we ever had in Italians restaurants in the States, the portions are large.
Their Mussel Appetizer is excellent, large enough to be a main dish!
Even with a lackluster service this Gem in the rough is still a top destination in STX.

Friends of mine were recently sharing similar sentiments about Joe's.

I have heard about their lasagna . Always high praise. We were there not to long ago and the owner was trying out deep fried turkey. It was delicious

We had a lunch at Shoreline. The lobster tempura was delicious. If you like chicken salad then the Bistro at Gallows Bay makes a great one.

We had lunch at Shoreline several weeks ago, and were sorely disappointed. Had some kind of a beef tip sandwich special, and the few pieces of beef were tough to chew. Sauce was bland. Not worth the gamble to us to try again, given the high prices.

And since we like to eat at the bar, not happy with cat paw and butt residue. Anyone at risk for toxoplasmosis complications should avoid the bar because it wasn't cleaned up after the bartender-described "bar cat" walked across and sat on it. (Of course, that goes for any outside bar).

Hi Carole,

So glad you enjoyed the food and the prices. We opened for business on December 10th so we are still in the process of hiring and training. We will make every effort to provide great food and service and apologize for the poor service you received. Please visit us again! We do only accept cash at this time but hope to accept credit cards in future.
Thank you Management

I went there and had Beef Pho (MY FAVORITE) and it was AMAZING!

the owner is really nice, though his accent (Vietnamese) is a bit of a challenge for my western ears, he runs the whole show a lot of times and cooks in the back with his mother in law (which he is comically disparaging of).

The food was amazing, I'll be eating there once a week at least just to try and keep his doors open, but I imagine once word gets out he is going to be a VERY busy man.

He's only open tues-sat 1100-2 & 430-7 for now as he works the bugs out of the "new spot" but the food is just amazing; he told me that this week their full menu will be available, something like 17 authentic dishes that I'm sure are all amazing

If I ever kick my Pho addiction I'll try some of the other stuff too.

Salud--dinner tonight. Food was ok but service was awful.

The server became overwhelmed when the third table came in. Sat with dirty plates for over 20 minutes.

Very disappointing

I disagree, the owner needs to step up and pay attention.

I could deal with slower service if the place was full but 3 tables with a total of 8 people....
