is no bones still open

It is. Had lunch there yesterday. Their fried chicken special (every Friday) is THE best fried chicken on the islands, hands down.

It's got such a loyal crowd that goes there I think it could possible be sold to someone else but not shut down.

I think the sign was down because they repainted the front

No Bones owner (Chuck) had the front of the restaurant painted. Great place to go for good food @ modest prices for lunch & dinner.

We started with a couple of flavors about a year ago, it has been so well received that we now produce 10 rotating flavors all made with Organic Milk ,Organic Cream, and Organic sugar as well.
We make great Milkshakes from our line of Gelatos.

Just returned from STX and two restaurants stand out.

Rowdy Joe's- The fish tacos are still consistently outstanding. Also, the meatloaf mixed with sausage was very moist, tender and tasty.

Waves at Cane Bay- The wife wanted lobster Benedict for brunch yesterday so we headed for Waves. They had it as a special. The eggs were poached to perfection and there was plenty of fresh lobster. Carl was our waiter and he was crazy fun. He kept pushing tequila shots when seating guests. I finally had to ask him why he was pushing tequila. He confessed that he had over ordered and had to reduce his stock. So, I helped him out by ordering an after brunch shot. He joined me in downing shots together.

Carl always must "overorder" Tequilla then...he's always pushing Tequilla shots. It's part of what makes Carl Carl!

Sean, you are on the money. Whenever we go to brunch @ The Waves, Carl always asks everyone if they want a shot of Tequilla. Actually he prefers Heineken but he's always pushing the Tequilla shots.

I believe he also worked at Eat and did the same thing. He asked me and I am definintely do NOT look like someone who does shots. I found him a little annoying.

He is also a good salesman. Just like McDonalds --- would you like fries with that.

Come on Terry. Asking an old lady if she'd like a shot is a little different than asking if she wants fries. On the other hand, if I turned down the fries like I turn down the shots, I'm be better off!! lol.

Went to Paradise Cafe recently in downtown C'sted. I have never had a bad meal there. I love their gyros! Also Dashi's had a great specialty sushi roll- 'The Cuban' with pickles, dash of mustard, and pork.

Just came back from lunch at The Golden Rail. So disappointed in the food and service. We split the Reuben, i think they forgot how to fix them. Was hardly warm and was not at all grilled. The service was really not good at all. Maybe she was a new server?? But really not good. She was nice when she actually came to the table. Never once came by to check on us. With the right training she could be a good server. Will not go back.

We went for lunch sandwiches at Blue Water Terrace yesterday. I have to come on here and recommend Pauli's Panini - layers of fresh cut Italian meats, provolone cheese, roasted red peppers, balsamic vinegar panini toasted on fresh bread. Amazing - best I've had since I left NYC.

My BF had a ham sandwich with lots of other goodies on it that was absolutely huge, on fresh bread (they make it all), and he ate every bite.

Also got to meet Lacey, our waitress - she's been around on island a while so I'm sure some of you know her already. 🙂 She was awesome, a lot of fun, and we'll be back soon!

We had breakfast this AM at The Golden Rail, it was great! I think the food preparation and transition by the cook from breakfast to lunch might be the problem.

Recently, I've eaten at:

Blue Water for dinner. EXCELLENT. Every single thing was incredible. 10/10

Golden Rail for lunch. EXCELLENT. I had baked chicken with mashed & veggies for only $12. It was scrumptious. 10/10

Golden Rail for lunch. AVERAGE. Unlike my previous lunch, this time it wasn't as good. Still, I'll def be back. 6/10

Avacado Pit for lunch. POOR. My tuna steak sandwich was dry as a bone, with no flavor. And, the guy behind the counter would not shut up and was on the phone with WAPA the entire time. Not fun to listen to someone bicker on the phone for 40 minutes. 3/10

Dashi for lunch. GOOD. Excellent food as always, but man oh man have their prices risen lately. Very expensive now. 8/10

No Bones for lunch. EXCELLENT. Good food, great service as always. This is one of the most consistent places around. 9/10

Bombay Club for lunch. GOOD. Good food as always, but holy crap it is FREEZING in there. I was literally shivering towards the end. 8/10

Eat At Cane Bay for lunch multiple times. EXCELLENT. Great service and the best salads on-island, hands down. Sitting at the bar on a Saturday never disappoints. 10/10

Breezes for lunch multiple times. GOOD Tasty, cheap food as always. Service a bit slow as usual. Always been a fave lunch spot. 8/10

The Deep End for lunch: AVERAGE/GOOD One of the prettiest bars on the entire island. Great service as usual. But the food... it's sometimes good, often times just average. 7/10

Topside for dinner. EXCELLENT The British guys that run the place are a hoot! Very friendly. Their menu is HUGE and their prices are very reasonable. I had their fish and chips and they were amazing. They make em English-style, using cold cod rather than a local fish like Mahi Mahi. They told me that their fish and chips are just like found in England and I believe 'em. Brits know their fish and chips. 10/10

Domino Club for lunch EXCELLENT as always. We went for Burger day. I've never had anything from Norma I didn't like. And, of course, there is Norma herself, a breath of fresh air on any given day. 10/10
