Can anyone recommend a great agent for selling a piece of land on STX? (Or if anyone's interested in buying a half acre overlooking Great Pond Bay, let me know!)

Good luck!!!
We have had ours on the market now for over three years and have dropped the price far below what you offered 4 years ago!

There are many properties that have been for sale on STX longer than 3 years.

That's really not unusual, especially in this particular market.
Happens here n STT as well.
Seems to be improving a bit so hang in there.

I'm not expecting it to sell instantly, but it will NEVER sell if I don't make it clear that it's for sale. It's really too bad... I loved living on STX, and I love that property and was so excited about building/living there. However, the downfall of the hospital really changed my plans.

That's the truth, unless you list wth an agent and get it out there to all other STX agents, it won't sell, at all unless you are very lucky or put in the time and effort to show and advertise it, yourself .

Meantime, it costs you nothing to list and advertise wth an agent until a property sells, then you have a 10% commssion to pay on land sales unless otherwise negotiated (not including stamp tax and property tax to midnight of date of sale, etc.)
Sorry you have to sell and don't expect it to go quickly (or get frustrated) unless it's an exceptional lot and very well priced.

Good Luck to you!

To all of you who recommended me, THANK YOU!! Gave me even more to be thankful for tomorrow (and every day)! I love this island, love helping buyers find the right property, and am honored to assist sellers as well.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
