I've heard talk over the weekend that Tutto Bene will be closing permanently after the end of season. This is not a surprise to me. The outrageous WAPA bills they must generate to keep the place cool are certainly one likely reason. But more so, the very boring, overly pricey and tired menu has likely turned a lot of regulars like myself off. If it comes to pass, its a shame really as I still enjoyed the delicious thin crust pizza from time to time. Has anyone else heard this about Tutto Bene?

If that is true, then it would be a shame... They have always remained one of my favorites... Yes, the menu has not changed for the longest time...

My friends who work there say there's no news about them closing permanently, they've been really busy, and they just hired someone new. At this point I would discount this as a rumor.

Well you never know for sure, others have closed without telling anyone...but Tutto Bene has been one of the few still making money.
I love their specials, especially what they do with wahoo. Or order any of the pasta dishes with jalapeño cream sauce for something different...especially the rasta pasta....mmmm, that is a fond memory!

Well, it is a relief to read it may not be the case and that it will continue on... I was a bit surprised because, the last few times, I noticed the place was fairly crowded... It remains as one of my favorite restaurants... They should revise the menu, though... I brought it to their attention the last time I went there...

I just talked to Kelly.....not just no, but Hell no they are not closing.
Why would you post a malicious rumor that might impact a St. Croix business?

Well, then let's start a new rumor. What do you think the chances are that the telephone store in Sunny Isle (some call it Radio Shack) will be one of the 1,100 that will be closed?

When I hear the same thing from more than a few people within a short time frame, I always come here to see what the greater wisdom of the community has to say. Its not meant to be malicious, its just inquiring. Although the Tutto Bene menu has become horribly boring and in dire need of change, I would be very sad if they closed.

I agree with speee1dy. I too had heard similar info about Tutto. I'd be crushed if I couldn't get my thin crust pizza so glad this is not true.

Heard this last year and it's still not true.
Also, what happened to the rumor thread? Maybe the op felt they were called out too often in that thread to Bump it. Can't you just stick to watching reality tv?

Well, it is common on these boards to start new threads over and over again... There are two threads regarding Exxon/Hovensa: one from Feb-6-14 and the other one from Feb-26-14... Only 20 days apart and just as pointless... There are several regarding containers from Katmandu to the VIs, several regarding what to bring and what to buy, there are several about solar/alternative power... etc, etc, etc, all weeks or a few months apart... Who is going to police the boards????
Unlike what is said, the OP's intention was not to start a rumor, but actually asking if the rumor heard was also heard by anybody else here and whether it was true or not...
Honestly, I wish there was an effort to keep a thread alive rather than starting new ones... Makes searching a lot easier, so, I agree with you...
