I have nothing wrong with Palestine, I just prefer to keep money on the island as much as possible. Not a debate! I'd rather get back to poodle's original intent for this thread, she's working hard to bring something good here that will also employ people.

You brought up Palestine; I am just curious what business you are referring to?

Actually i didn't bring up Palestine, SunnyCaribe did. I was responding to that. Ask SunnyCaribe what business was being referred to, because I'm not derailing this discussion any further.

There are quite a few Palestinian refugees doing business on STX. I always considered them "local" businesses and often shopped with them. The people I met were cordial and business-like.

I believe what SunnyCaribe was referring to was when one of our local businesses was fined a few million bucks for sending money out of the territory. But I have no first hand knowledge of that. I do know that the people who were supposedly involved are nice local people and friends of friends of mine.

My "I don't shop there" comment was directed at SunnyCaribe, and responding to his/her comment about Palestine, which for me isnt a choice about ownership demographics, I just don't shop there period (okay rarely). It's a personal choice, based primarily on other factors, like I don't buy much processed food. It has nothing to do FOR ME with Palestine, it was a poorly worded response to SunnyCaribe's posit.

Out of respect for my friend poodle, can we get back on track with her question - items and brands to help her consider stock for her new LLC? She does need the information, it would help!

JulieKay, By reading your comments I gather your either a union person or favor unions. First off the horror story about the poor walmart worker being underpaid and sleeping in the parking lot is not true. If it were true it was by choice. I worked for Walmart for several years and was paid a good wage with health benefits, and stock options. After every job review I was given a raise. Tactics your using are typical of hate mongers, They are just plain lies.
