STX bound!
Hello Board !
I have posted off and on in this board about flying for Seaborne and I think I may get a job offer today or next week. So quick question, I will look at the Housing board, but if anyone knows any good roomie/apt situations beginning May 1st, could ya send them my way? 1000 a month would be my limit, obvioulsy the cheeper the better! I've lived in a 12'x12' cabin in Fairbanks with no running water for a year, so I can take just about anything...I need very little! I am going to try and do a PMV, but with the short notice it may not be a option. Anyway. If anyone knwos any good places to live for a quiet single pilot (female) with no drama, let me know. (also the closer to STX airport the better, I would start in the wheeled planes) Looking forward to maybe seeing you all in the tropics, and perhaps on my flights!
Sincerly,
AKpilot
Dang AK pilot I thinks I'm falling in love .......what a resume you have....LOL ...check out the classifieds on the board ,tthere have been some great deals from 450 for efficiency a month on up....rent for a few months and then learn where you wanna settle in ....from parka to shorts ....wow are you in for a treat.....good luck !!!;)
If you are offered a position, I would suggest asking your future employer for suggestions. It is a good idea to actually be on island before deciding on housing. Some people have had rather unpleasant surprises regarding the quality, suitability or location of their place.
Before you arrive make arrangements for a short term (week or two) rental. That will give you a chance to look around after you arrive. You will be able to get a better price and location that way.
Others can give you some suggestions about a short term place to stay.
